Rylan Clark-Neal and Davina McCall have paid tribute to Jade Goody while looking back at her first ever TV appearance.
The duo have launched their coronavirus lockdown series, Big Brother: Best Shows Ever, where they reflect on some of their favourite episodes.
And they could not miss out Big Brother three – where they looked back on the iconic rich and poor housemate divide, and Sandy Cumming’s great escape.
However, at the end of the installment the pair took a moment to remember Jade following her tragic death.
‘We need to take a minute or two to talk about Jade – she was the perfect housemate,’ Rylan said moments before the credit started to roll.
‘If we had a factory where we were able to build housemates I think Jade would be one of the first off that production line. She really, really would.’
And his co-presenter, Davina, agreed, adding: ‘She was beautifully flawed, I think all of us could relate to her in some form or another.
‘We felt for her, we cried with her, we laughed at her then we started laughing with her, then we loved her with all of our hearts. She was just an extraordinary person.’
Fans rushed to Twitter after the heartfelt moment, where they were left in tears over watching Jade’s BB appearance.
‘Thank you Rylan for your final words on Jade. You made me cry,’ one wrote while another said: ‘That speech about Jade had me in tears.’
Someone else added: ‘Jade is an amazing, kind, selfless one off that did so much for everyone else. Jade will be my best housemate ever and is a truly genuine individual. Your legacy lives on and you’ll never be forgotten.’
And it seems many more were in agreement: ‘Just welled up at @ThisisDavina and @Rylan remembering Jade. Brilliant housemate, lovely girl taken too soon. And the first housemate to encounter real fame from the show. Brilliant.’
Jade appeared on the show back in 2002, and then again in 2007 for the Celebrity Big brother series.
While she was in the house the second time around, the mother-of-two was told about her cancer diagnosis.
Just two years later, Jade passed away aged 27.
